Job Overview
An established law firm in Los Angeles, California is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Employment/Labor law litigation and be passionate about advocating for clients' rights. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, providing flexibility while offering the opportunity to work on a variety of employment law matters.
Location
Duties
Represent clients in legal proceedings and negotiate on their behalf.
Conduct legal research and provide analysis on various employment law issues.
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
Offer legal advice to clients on a broad range of employment-related matters.
Advocate for clients in court proceedings and other legal forums.
Stay updated on relevant legal developments and changes in employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
Proficiency in areas such as PAGA, sexual harassment, discrimination (race, national origin, age, sex, disability), family/medical leave issues, wage and hour disputes, and severance negotiations.
Strong legal drafting and research skills.
Ability to interpret and apply complex legal concepts effectively.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Lexis Nexis and other legal research tools.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the California State Bar as an attorney.
Education
