More About the Role As a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney in our Providence office, you'll prepare for hearings and depositions, appear before the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court, and strategize for mediations while advocating for clients. Responsibilities include drafting motions, reviewing medical records, and analyzing employment documentation to develop case strategies. Keeping clients updated on case developments and providing strategic advice is essential. You'll manage your caseload independently, meet filing deadlines, and negotiate, with flexibility for courtroom appearances and remote workdays to suit your productivity. Needed Credentials and Experience **Juris Doctor (J.D.)
from an accredited law school License to practice in Rhode Island
and in good standing with the state bar. 1-5 years of experience in workers' compensation claims or insurance defense. - Ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting deadlines. - Comfortable in courtroom settings, especially handling hearings before the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court. - Strong communication skills for client relations and strategic legal advice. - Professional demeanor, ethical judgment, and commitment to client service.
