Job Description:
Develop effective treatment plans and obtain approval from referring physicians.
Treat patients according to the physician treatment plan.
Assist nursing staff with training of Restorative Aides.
Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants in patient care, following state practice acts.
Communicate patient progress and issues with supervisors and health team members.
Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings as needed.
Conduct in-service training for staff; document evaluations, treatment notes, and recertifications as per regulations.
Record treatment changes, instruct families and staff in maintenance and caregiver training, and participate in discharge planning.
Recommend and facilitate ordering necessary durable medical equipment to promote patient independence.
Report equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance.
Required License or Certification:
Valid Occupational Therapy License
