About the Role
We are actively seeking a talented Senior Vice President of Finance and Accounting to lead our financial operations and provide strategic financial insights. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting while maintaining compliance with relevant legal and financial regulations. You will manage essential accounting operations, cash forecasting, and treasury functions, while also spearheading the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Your leadership will enhance the operational efficiency of the accounting team, direct the audit process, and uphold robust internal controls. We require candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, a CPA, and at least 10 years of comprehensive experience in both public and private accounting, with a specialized focus on real estate.
Key qualifications include profound knowledge of GAAP, exceptional skills in financial analysis, and hands-on experience with real estate accounting. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities, along with the ability to communicate effectively and lead a high-performing team.
As a strategic partner to senior leadership, you will develop department policies in line with GAAP and play an active role in the hiring, training, and growth of your team members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software is required, with experience in Yardi and financial forecasting tools considered a plus.
