About the Opportunity
An established real estate investment and hospitality group with a high-end, multi-asset portfolio is seeking a results-driven Vice President of Hospitality Finance & Operations . This strategic leader will be responsible for guiding financial operations across a dynamic hospitality platform that includes hotel, residential, and mixed-use properties in the Southeastern United States.
The VP will collaborate closely with executive leadership, asset managers, property teams, and ownership groups to ensure financial excellence across the organization. This role demands a sharp focus on forecasting, capital planning, internal controls, system optimization, and team leadership, all with a clear eye toward maximizing value and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
As Vice President of Hospitality Finance & Operations, you will lead the financial function for a diverse hospitality portfolio with a focus on delivering operational excellence, financial clarity, and strategic insight. Your responsibilities will span day-to-day property support, team development, system oversight, and long-term planning.
- Oversee financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic modeling to support growth and operational goals.
- Partner with property leadership to assess P&L performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement margin improvement initiatives.
- Guide capital planning, inter-company funding, and liquidity strategy across assets, ensuring compliance with lender and partner requirements.
- Manage the integration, optimization, and usage of enterprise systems (e.g., PMS, POS, ERP), while ensuring secure data handling and reporting accuracy.
- Provide analysis and financial insight for capital expenditures, renovations, procurement, and food & beverage initiatives to support ROI and operational alignment.
- Maintain oversight of accounting operations, including AR/AP, reconciliations, tax compliance, and monthly close activities.
- Ensure strong internal controls and audit readiness through SOP implementation, system oversight, and standardized procedures across locations.
- Lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Review and validate financial reporting packages, including balance sheet reconciliations and ownership or lender communications.
- Collaborate across departments and with third-party stakeholders to align on franchise standards, investment strategy, and operational goals.
Key Qualifications
- A strategic mindset with a strong command of financial planning, forecasting, and capital oversight tailored to operational environments.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in finance, with a significant portion spent within hospitality or multi-asset operational businesses.
- Demonstrated success managing complex financial frameworks involving multiple properties, entities, or associations (e.g., mixed-use or HOA structures).
- Proficiency in leveraging enterprise resource systems, hospitality-specific tools, and reporting platforms to drive financial transparency and control.
- Academic credentials in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines; advanced qualifications such as an MBA or CPA are preferred.
- Experience coordinating with brand standards, franchise partners, and third-party management groups to ensure financial alignment and compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills, capable of influencing at both operational and executive levels.
