Job Purpose:
The Branch Manager is the overall site lead at the WIT Portland branch and is accountable for branch safety, performance and reputation. The Branch Manager will collaborate with the local Sales and Engineering teams to win customers and drive profitable growth. This is achieved in the context of a culture of collaboration, wellbeing and performance.
The primary performance objectives of the Branch Manager role are as follows:
  • Achievement of budget objectives: Revenue, Gross Margin, EBITDA (Net Profit)
  • Customer satisfaction, On time and accurate customer delivery
  • Employee Satisfaction, Employee Turnover, Reputation as an employer
Branch departments under supervision include:
  • Distribution, Quality, Planning, Local supply chain
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage safety to create a zero-accident workplace culture.
  • Create a vision for the branch based on the overall SunSource and WIT corporate vision.
  • Create an annual Branch Business Plan
  • Establish KPIs and engage in team continuous improvement
  • Develop employees and create a positive workplace.
  • Ensure all associates experience periodic 1:1 meetings with their supervisors
  • Maintain facilities functionality, comfort and appearance.
  • Collaborate with corporate services (HR, IT and Finance),.
  • Collaborate with supply chain to support inventory availability and target inventory turns.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree is a plus
  • 5-7 years of distribution and manufacturing experience.
    • Hydraulic systems and / or electrical control industry experience an advantage.
  • 3-5 years management experience, with demonstrable ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Proficiency in interpreting basic P&L information
  • ERP user level experience.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Proficient at using MS systems; including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Microsoft BI an advantage
