Job Title: Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reports To: CEO

Status: Part-Time / Contract

Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Fractional CFO to support one of our clients. The CFO will provide high-level financial leadership on a part-time contract basis for a large, complex non-profit human services company with multiple revenue streams. This role is ideal for a mission-driven finance professional with deep nonprofit experience who can guide budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance while helping ensure long-term financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial oversight and guidance to senior leadership and the board.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant financial reporting and analysis.
• Support grant budgeting, funder reporting, and audit preparation.
• Monitor cash flow, identify risks, and recommend financial strategies.
• Oversee compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• CPA strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of financial leadership experience, with nonprofit/human services background highly desired.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
• Familiarity with fund accounting and nonprofit financial reporting.
