Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/06/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – PCU | James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, OH Location: Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center – James Cancer Hospital and Research, Columbus, OH Start Date: 10/06/2025 Contract Length: 16 weeks (ending 1/3, 1/10, or 1/17 preferred for holiday coverage) Shift Options: 3x12 Days (7:30 AM – 7:30 PM) or Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Pay Package Weekly Gross: $2,226 Taxable W2: $756/week ($21.00/hr) Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,470/week ($40.83/hr) Total Hourly Rate: $61.83/hr OT Rate (W2): $31.50/hr Hours/Week: 36 Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years high-acuity PCU or higher Travel Nursing Experience: Required Licensure: Compact or OH RN license (must be in hand at submission) Certifications (Required): ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Preferred Certifications: OCN, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Charting: Epic Facility & Unit Details Unit: Inpatient Nursing Float Pool – PCU (floating required to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units) Specialties Float To: BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, Medical Oncology, PCU Oncology, GYN Oncology, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Corrections Healthcare Staffing Ratios: PCU: 1:3 (may be 1:4 with mixed acuity) MedSurg/Tele: 1:4 (may be 1:5) Orientation: 1 week (Mon–Fri days), bedside orientation during weeks 2–3 Compliance Notes Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start (no exceptions) Ohio Fingerprinting: Must be completed immediately after booking RTO: Max 7 days; must be submitted with application (no RTO in first 2 weeks) Locals Accepted: Same rate as travelers References: 2 professional (1 must be leadership/charge RN) Education: Must be from ACEN or CCNE accredited program Winter contracts available! Managers prefer end dates of 1/3, 1/10, or 1/17 to support holiday staffing. Oncology experience strongly preferred but not required.
