Job Description Salary: Job Description Summary: ASI is seeking a Space Subject Matter Expert (SME) with broad knowledge of space capabilities, including orbital warfare (OW), Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), Global Positioning System (GPS), space electronic attack/protection, Satellite Communications (SATCOM), space domain awareness, and National Technical Means (NTM). This role supports joint planning efforts and ensures effective integration of space capabilities into modeling and simulation (M&S) exercises.
An active TS/SCI clearance
(eligibilityrequired)
is mandatory. Prior SAP/SAR experience is highly preferred.
Position Responsibilities: Collaborate with military space planners, joint planners, and M&S engineers to design and refine realistic experiments. Assist planners in developing experiment objectives aligned with military learning requirements. Partner with M&S teams to ensure simulations accurately reflect space capabilities and achieve desired outcomes. Provide subject matter expertise across orbital warfare, OPIR, GPS, SATCOM, space electronic attack/protection, space domain awareness, and NTM. Prepare and deliver reports, technical assessments, and briefings for senior decision-makers.
Basic Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): Active TS/SCI clearance (eligibility required). Prior SAP/SAR experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of space capabilities (OW, OPIR, GPS, SATCOM, space electronic attack/protection, space domain awareness, NTM). Experience working with military and joint planning staffs. Familiarity with modeling and simulation (M&S) and its application to operational experimentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
