Review and approve project Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for adequacy, compliance, and alignment with company standards. Conduct incident investigations, lead root cause analyses, develop corrective actions, and ensure they are assigned, tracked, and closed. Prepare and deliver safety training programs and verify employee competency. Conduct field and project site safety reviews, engage teams to assess culture, identify gaps, and reinforce best practices. Support audits of project files and SH&E processes to confirm documentation is accurate, complete, and adequate for project scope. Provide support and direction to safety coordinators and area safety managers in the region. Provide safety KPIs and insights to business leaders to drive performance transparency and accountability. Partner with business development teams to evaluate new opportunities, identify risks, and integrate safety into planning. Drive leadership engagement through close partnership with leaders at varying levels of the organization. Review contracts for safety risks and requirements, advising leadership on obligations and mitigation strategies. Engage subcontractors during prequalification and throughout project execution to ensure alignment with safety expectations. Promote culture and accountability across a matrixed organization. Determine project-specific medical surveillance, occupational health clearance, and monitoring requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert for various safe work procedures, responsible for development, coordination of stakeholder reviews, and ongoing updates. Maintain strong knowledge of hazard recognition including confined space, fall protection, excavation and trenching, electrical hazards, and other high-risk tasks. Maintain knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations (OSHA, MSHA, EPA, DOT, DOD) and industry standards (ANSI, NFPA, etc.). Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field A minimum of 10 years experience in Safety Health and Environmental field Certification in one or more SH&E fields such as CIH, CSP, ASP, CHMM, CHST, GSP, or equivalent SH&E PM experience Extensive knowledge of OSHA & ANSI regulatory standards Knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Team-oriented with proven oral and written skills to support SH&E policy and procedural requirements Leadership skills to manage staff in support of SH&E requirements Active participation in our employee-owned culture Preferred Qualifications
