Role Overview This position directs the day-to-day and strategic activities of a highly complex, large plant to achieve plant EBIT targets and operating objectives. The Plant Director is a key leadership role managing safety, production, maintenance, warehouse, quality, customer relations, continuous improvement, human resources and finance. This position serves as the senior Amcor representative locally and ensures compliance with the Amcor code of conduct, regulations, and other Amcor policies and procedures. What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

Promotes a proactive and sustainable environmental, health and safety culture that supports Amcor's zero incident goal and exceeds local, state and federal requirements Directs operational effectiveness to maximize efficiency and productivity Ensures customer delivery and quality expectations are met Plans and oversees capital improvement projects within approved plans, schedules and budgets Responsible for all aspects of financial management of the plant; controls spending in capital, labor, energy and inventory Resolves operational, manufacturing, employee and customer issues Prepares and compiles analyses and reports on plant utilization, labor efficiencies, materials usage, scrap and labor Ensures GMP compliance in food and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing and adheres to quality standards required by customers and regulations Works with customer contacts to coordinate activities, resolve and prevent customer complaints, and foster solid customer relations with the commercial organization Responsible for the development of people and skills across the plant to support talent management Builds high engagement among coworkers Manages direct reports, including selection, development, mentoring, performance management and overall talent management; promotes safety, high performance, and compliance Keeps informed of technical and management developments and coaches employees toward optimum performance Expected Travel: 10% What We Value

Manage the departmental managers who supervise facility personnel; provide overall direction and evaluation Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws; handle interviewing, complaints, problem solving, and financial coordination What We Want From You

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred; minimally, Business Administration or similar Master’s degree preferred Minimum ten (10) years of Plant leadership experience required, including three (3) years in operation management Proven track record in a large operation in the plastics packaging industry Experience overseeing accounting/finance, safety and human resources, and quality is preferred Knowledge of business and management principles for strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Ability to read, analyze and interpret business and technical documents; ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to present information Ability to work with mathematical concepts and statistics Maintain 24-hour on-call availability to deal with potential problems/issues Competencies

Compensation:

The starting salary is expected to be between $176,100 and $220,100; base pay may vary within the full range of $176,100 to $264,100 depending on knowledge, skills and experience. Benefits may include annual bonus eligibility, medical coverage and other health and welfare plans.
