Overview The Program Director is responsible for the overall management, capacity building, and sustainability of the EngageKY Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) funded by AmeriCorps. EngageKY FGP will place 50 senior (55 years+) volunteers in colleges, high schools and their feeder schools throughout the state of Kentucky to provide youth with literacy and math tutoring, mentoring, and to support students with developmental disabilities. The AmeriCorps focus area is Education with attention to rural communities and those in rural areas, and addressing learning loss lingering from the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal is to have 200 youth with increased skills in math and/or reading and 120 youth with increased academic outcomes. This role involves supervising 50 AmeriCorps Seniors, managing a $500,000 budget, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and representing the program at the local, state, and national levels.

Primary Responsibilities

Recruit schools to serve as FGP host sites. Recruit, train, support and oversee 50 AmeriCorps seniors.

Develop systems and processes that will ensure strong implementation and ongoing capacity building with a goal focused on long-term sustainability.

Manage the program's budget, ensuring financial stability and accountability.

Develop a policies and procedures handbook that will apply to EngageKY staff, agencies hosting AmeriCorps Seniors, and the AmeriCorps Seniors members.

Work with third-party evaluators to collect, analyze, and report program data.

Participate in EngageKY staff meetings, retreats, and events.

Qualifications Grants management, volunteer management, budget management, computer skills, recruitment, training, public speaking, experience in K-12 school system. Driver's license and dependable vehicle needed.
