Compensation Base pay range
$120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Overview We are seeking an experienced
Director of Employee Relations
to lead our global employee relations function. This role will serve as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert on workplace policies, employee engagement, conflict resolution, and organizational culture. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of employment laws across multiple jurisdictions and a demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations matters in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the firm’s subject matter expert on employee relations, ensuring consistency in the handling of employee issues across all regions.
Lead and manage the investigation and resolution of complex employee concerns including workplace misconduct, policy violations, performance issues, and interpersonal conflict.
Partner with legal counsel to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across global jurisdictions (U.S., EMEA, APAC, etc.).
Develop, implement, and continuously improve global employee relations policies, practices, and training.
Advise and support senior leadership, HRBPs, and managers on performance management, terminations, accommodations, and disciplinary actions.
Analyze trends and data to identify risks and proactively address organizational issues (e.g., turnover, complaints, culture).
Oversee compliance with internal policies and external legal/regulatory requirements (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.).
Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives by fostering a fair and inclusive workplace.
Lead and coach a high-performing employee relations team, where applicable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in HR, Law, Business, or related field preferred.
7+ years of progressive HR or employee relations experience, preferably within financial services or a global professional services environment.
Deep knowledge of employment laws and HR practices across multiple regions (U.S., UK, EU, APAC).
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing complex investigations with a high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decisions.
Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders with sound judgment.
Experience navigating highly matrixed and regulated organizations.
