Overview The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing the effective operations of North American aluminum extrusion manufacturing facilities. The position is accountable for full plant operations cost management, as well as compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations. The Vice President will provide leadership to manufacturing and equipment teams, collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to meet growth and profitability objectives, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through employee engagement and innovation that leads to the development of new products and services. Responsibilities

Oversee manufacturing, on-time service, and distribution to ensure products are manufactured at the lowest possible cost while maintaining high quality and delivery standards. Conduct monthly plant business reviews to drive achievement in safety, quality, service, working capital, and costs. Lead profit improvement programs using lean manufacturing methods, including Six Sigma. Maintain inventory controls and develop production time and quality standards. Ensure effective use of company working capital, stock-keeping practices, materials movement, and other critical logistics metrics. Plan and implement facility construction and modifications, assessing and consolidating manufacturing assets as per the business plan. Leverage supplier and vendor relationships to optimize manufacturing technology and techniques. Establish monitoring systems to manage safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance effectively. Develop strategic and operating plans to improve competitiveness, optimize inventory levels, and manage financial operating plans. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and coordinate effective troubleshooting of operations. Lead operations teams to develop annual operating plans and key performance indicators that support growth and profit improvement initiatives. Meet frequently with direct reports to track performance against annual objectives, identify obstacles, and drive profitability. Collaborate with HR to develop operations-related programs, policies, and procedures. Define talent requirements for engineering and operations personnel, focusing on attracting, managing, developing, and retaining talent while driving engagement best practices. Promote and direct a safe work culture. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Some travel to Mexico and customers as required. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related business field; master's degree preferred. Experience with measured manufacturing excellence, such as Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt certification preferred, Black Belt certification a plus). 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing management and logistics / supply chain roles for companies with sales exceeding $250M, offering industrial products in a multi-plant environment. Ability to analyze P&L statements, implement expense controls, and validate processes for KPI measurements. Significant project management experience, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and / or materials management. Proven track record of managing an operations team. Fluency in Spanish is a significant advantage.
