The OCI Generative AI science team is responsible for growing OCI’s Generative AI, Agent and Analytics services. Our goal is to build foundational technologies and enable customers to apply AI to solve their business problems with Oracle’s assistance and expertise in Generative AI and Analytics. In this role, you will work with teams of applied scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality services backed by Generative AI models and Analytics solutions that delight our customers with data safety and protection.

We are seeking an exceptional applied scientist to work on innovative Generative AI and Analytics modeling research and development efforts. As a Senior Principal Applied Scientist in the Generative AI Science team, you will architect, build and deploy cutting-edge AI models and solutions at scale. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy these services for real-world enterprise use-cases at the largest scale and help shape the future of Generative AI and Analytics at Oracle. Responsibilities
Research and Development: Conduct in-depth research on conversational AI systems, from design and development to evaluation. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and engineers. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI, agentic, and conversational capabilities into various applications and products. Innovation: Identify new opportunities for conversational AI, agentic AI, analytics, and related technologies. Stay Updated: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends and advancements in the above fields. Qualifications
PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics, or a related field with a dissertation, thesis or final project centered on Machine Learning or Deep Learning; 10+ years relevant experience preferred Alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of the above fields with 12+ years relevant experience Strong publication record, including as a lead author in top-tier conferences or journals Extensive experience in deep learning, NLP, and agentic AI Proven track record of leading research and development projects Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and architectures Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong leadership and communication abilities If you are passionate about pushing the boundaries of GenAI, Analytics, and Conversational AI, and have a proven track record of success, we encourage you to apply.
