Overview Quarles & Brady LLP seeks a Biotech Patent Agent or Scientist to join our dynamic national Intellectual Property group practice in any of our offices, but Madison, Milwaukee, or Chicago are preferred. A Ph.D. in the fields of life sciences or biology is required, preferably with experience in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, virology, microbiology and plant molecular biology/genetics. Candidates with 1-3 years of patent prosecution experience are preferred. Additionally, the candidate must have a strong academic record paired with the skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to succeed at this firm. Compensation is determined upon the market in which the position is located, the responsibilities of the position, the experience, education and skills of the applicant, and other job-related factors. The range for this position for individuals physically located in Chicago and Washington D.C. is $100,000 to $140,000. The range for this position for individuals physically located in Denver, Indianapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Naples, Phoenix, San Diego, St. Louis, Tampa, and Tucson is $100,000 to $130,000.
