Available Locations NYC, SF, Austin TX About Product Management At Cloudflare As a Product Manager at Cloudflare, you are responsible for building products that improve the way that the Internet works. Product Managers sit at the intersection of software development, design, and business strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty, from pitching concepts to senior leadership, launching plans with marketing, conducting user research with designers, prototyping features, iterating on specs, analyzing usage data, or partnering with engineers on implementation. About The Role As Product Manager for
SSL/TLS , you’ll help shape a key part of our core product experience. SSL/TLS enables secure connections across various products, and every request we manage flows through this area in addition to other security-related products. In this role, you’ll support the development and evolution of this product, helping define and communicate the product vision, gathering user feedback, and contributing to the roadmap. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and security experts to deliver features that support customers of all different types, processing every request we see. Additionally, you will: Responsibilities
Own your space. Own the priorities and scope for a high performing engineering team focused on Cloudflare’s SSL/TLS Product. Connect the pieces. Serve as a nerve center connecting engineering, program management, marketing, revenue, and partners to ensure timely and impactful releases. Excel across teams. Collaborate with product managers across the company to prioritize systemic improvements for enterprise customers. Be customer obsessed. Directly engage with customers to understand usage and bring insights back to the roadmap. Be data driven. Analyze data to quantify problems and opportunities in the space. What You’ll Do You’ll contribute to shaping one of our core products — SSL/TLS — a suite that enables management of security certificates, secrets storage, and related Cloudflare products at global scale. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, reduce friction points, and design experiences that enable customers to manage information for sites they oversee. You’ll define and track KPIs measuring user engagement, product adoption, and the effectiveness of workflows. Desirable Skills, Knowledge And Experience We measure PMs by outcomes and how they achieve results. 5+ years of experience in product management, solutions engineering, or related roles Familiarity with designing or contributing to habit-forming product experiences Experience defining and tracking KPIs to measure product or user behavior impact Strong collaboration skills with engineering and design teams Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments A passion for user empathy and customer-centric solutions Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Curiosity and a desire to learn technical topics, especially in security or observability Engineering fluency is helpful; building credibility with engineering teams is important Bonus Points
Prior experience as a PM for security/certificate-related products Experience delivering cloud infrastructure products at global scale Data fluency to build confidence in viewpoints and persuade others Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. Bay Area: Estimated annual salary of $202,000 - $246,000 New York City, Washington, DC and California (excluding Bay Area): $192,000 - $234,000 Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
