We are on the lookout for a dynamic Director to lead our Before & After School Program at Beekman Elementary School in Poughquag, NY. As the Director, you'll be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site. Job Details Job Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Pay: $17.00 per hour Responsibilities

Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school. Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Include homework completion as part of daily responsibilities. Managing Like a Boss: Take charge of essential management tasks, including maintaining accurate attendance and registration records, and ensuring proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly. Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with your direct report, keep them up to speed on daily occurrences, and address issues in a timely manner to foster a positive working environment. Education and Experience To be qualified as a director, a person must possess either: Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. School-Age Child Care Credential or another office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. Qualifications

Medical fitness to perform all job duties and free of communicable diseases including TB. Warm, friendly, upbeat demeanor with exceptional people skills for interactions with kiddos, parents, and team members; professional, reliable, and prompt. Ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs, and perform duties to keep up with energetic children. Part-time Perks
