Our client, a respected law firm with a strong reputation in insurance defense litigation, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Insurance Defense Paralegal
to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working independently while supporting attorneys on complex cases.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and manage litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and subpoenas.
Assist with case management from inception through trial, including docketing deadlines and maintaining organized case files.
Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies.
Coordinate and prepare exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses to ensure case preparedness.
Manage e-filing in state and federal courts and ensure compliance with local rules.
Prepare and organize discovery responses, medical records, and deposition summaries.
Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial.
Qualifications
Minimum of
3+ years of paralegal experience
in insurance defense litigation.
Strong knowledge of Florida state and federal court rules and e-filing procedures.
Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and productivity.
Paralegal certificate or degree preferred; notary public a plus.
