Position Summary Packaging Technicians are critical to the successful production of our beverages. They operate with integrity and focus across all production line positions to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. Ideal candidates are skilled, punctual, and enjoy working with others who share similar values and goals. General Duties and Responsibilities Follow all company safety policies and procedures, conduct safety inspections, and report hazards or incidents to the Packaging Supervisor.
Assist in setup, breakdown, and cleaning of bottling lines.
Work across multiple packaging positions, ensuring products meet quality standards (caps fastened, liquid levels correct, labels aligned, boxes secure).
Fill and clean kegs and perform case flavor mixing as needed.
Conduct daily cleaning and setup following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Participate in deep cleaning or special projects as assigned.
Engage in training on safety, operational procedures, skill development, and compliance requirements.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities Follow GMP policies and encourage team compliance.
Understand SQF policies, including pest control, visitor management, allergen control, and sanitation.
Support management's commitment to SQF and company goals for food safety and quality.
Report food safety or quality concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager for proper corrective and preventative action (CAPA) to ensure continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Abilities Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and awareness of safety for self and others.
Ability to work collaboratively to meet production goals.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Flexibility to work extended shifts or overtime as needed.
Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements 30-minute unpaid lunch break; two 15-minute paid breaks.
Manufacturing environment can be crowded, noisy, dusty, and subject to temperature extremes.
Requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, or lifting 100% of the time, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
Awareness of forklift traffic and potential uneven or slippery surfaces required.
