POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
The Logistics Manager is a highly visible position of influence that sets the standard at the company level for how we expect our construction crews to present organizationally, visually, and professionally. This is accomplished through proactive and thoughtful inventory management including forecasting, job costing, and transportation of materials to/from jobsites; warehouse/yard planning and presentation; regular tool/equipment checks: managing tracking, organization, cleanliness, repairs and maintenance; and sourcing and maintaining positive vendor relationships: negotiating and securing materials at competitive rates aligned to budgeting and innovation goals and expectations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Inventory Management
•Forecast and maintain appropriate material inventory levels based on project schedules in coordination with office and field personnel •Track material usage by project/job costing and maintain accurate and timely records of all transactions Tool and Equipment Management
•Perform regular tool and equipment checks: scheduling and/or performing repairs, service, and maintenance for all yard/warehouse equipment (forklifts, loaders, etc.) •Maintain current/accurate records of tool and equipment usage Procurement and Vendor Relations
•Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships for material sourcing •Proactively source new vendors aligned to TDX strategic growth initiatives •Negotiate vendor contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to drive competitive cost strategies Materials Transport
•Coordinate and/or safely operate company-owned CDL trucks to deliver marine construction materials, equipment, and supplies to job sites •Verify/secure loads according to DOT safety standards and company policy •Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and mileage records •Assist with on-site unloading and staging of materials as needed Yard and Warehouse Management
•Organize, maintain, and ensure cleanliness of the yard, warehouse, and storage areas •Implement and monitor inventory control systems, including cycle counts and reorder alerts •Receive, inspect, and stage incoming
materials/equipment •Enforce proper storage methods to prevent damage or deterioration, especially for marine-grade materials Safety and Compliance
•Enforce company and OSHA safety standards for yard, warehouse, and transportation operations •Maintain DOT compliance for all CDL driving operations, including vehicle inspections and logs •Conduct safety briefings for yard/warehouse personnel and ensure PPE compliance
Requirements ESSENTIAL JOB, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Required: Valid Class C CDL with clean driving record
Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement, logistics, material transport, warehouse, or yard management (marine construction or heavy construction preferred)
Knowledge of marine construction materials, hardware, and equipment strongly preferred
Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management experience
Proficient in inventory management software and basic Microsoft Office applications
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and operate forklifts, loaders, and other yard equipment
Ability to tolerate frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, rain, and humidity
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Regular travel to job sites in company vehicles
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to balance hands-on yard work with administrative duties
Detail-oriented with a focus on cost control and material efficiency
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish)
