Overview A leading global architecture and engineering firm with over 100 years of legacy is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer or Washington DC for their Minneapolis office. This established firm specializes in transformative design across multiple sectors, with offices strategically located throughout the United States. Their portfolio encompasses federal, healthcare, aviation, education, and commercial projects, delivered through integrated architecture, engineering, and interior design services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex engineering projects with a focus on protective design and federal infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Expertise Coordination

Identify discipline-specific Subject Matter Experts across engineering studios, focusing on market and technical experience

Communicate expertise findings to the National Director of Engineering, Global Practice Leaders, and Market Sector Leaders

Collaborate with studio Operations Directors and National Director of Engineering on work sharing and recruiting coordination

Business Development and Growth

Identify engineering business development opportunities across studios, including speaking engagements, publishing opportunities, client outreach, and project identification

Collaborate with the National Director of Engineering to set strategic goals for discipline growth and best practice advancement

Perform marketing and business development activities, including building relationships with key clients and strategic partners

Engage in proposal writing, fee estimation, and client interviews

Project Management and Client Relations

Attend client meetings and communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors during various project stages

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects

Assist Project Managers with fee development for engineering portions of work

Travel for marketing and project-related activities as required

Requirements: Education and Experience

ABET-accredited degree in Engineering or Architectural Engineering

Registered Professional Engineer certification

Minimum 6 years of licensed experience, including 5+ years of team management

Technical Skills

Demonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standards

Production experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD

Proficiency in industry-standard calculation software

Personal Attributes

Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills

Ability to manage competing priorities and effectively allocate time

Compensation & Benefits: Salary Range

: $100,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience
