Job Title
Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer (Contract, Onsite)
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement advanced AEM solutions (Sites, Assets), including AEM component libraries, workflows, and templates.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to gather requirements, translate into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality digital experiences.
Lead software design, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization for AEM platforms.
Set up and configure AEM authoring, publish, dispatcher environments with Adobe best practices, and integrate AEM with other marketing tools such as Adobe Analytics, Target, and Campaign.
Maintain and enhance existing AEM applications; manage deployments and migrations across environments (Dev/QA/Prod).
Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and contribute to agile development processes.
Ensure compliance with coding standards, unit test coverage, automation, CI/CD, and secure web programming best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing performance, security, and scalability.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (required).
10+ years of IT experience with at least 7+ years in AEM/CQ5 development, including AEM 6.x and above.
Extensive experience with Java, JCR (Java Content Repository), OSGi, Sling, CRXDE, RESTful services, and API integration.
Deep expertise in AEM building blocks: templates, components, dialogs, widgets, bundles, workflows, and permissions.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, ReactJS, Angular) and cross-browser/platform compatibility.
Experience integrating AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud products and third-party marketing solutions.
Proficiency with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo), source control, and Linux/Unix commands.
Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Adobe Certified Expert in AEM Sites Developer (preferred).
Desired Skills
Familiarity with Cloud and DevOps architecture, disaster recovery, and load balancers.
Experience with search engines (Solr, Elastic Search), e-commerce integration, and mobile applications.
Strong problem-solving aptitude and leadership experience guiding development teams.
