The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with on-call and callback responsibilities as needed by the unit.Key ResponsibilitiesConfirm patient identity and verify exams prior to initiating scans, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and safety protocols.Coordinate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and enhance comfort.Insert IVs when necessary and position patients appropriately, employing safe patient handling techniques.Maintain accurate patient records by properly documenting all essential information within EPIC and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon completion of exams.Uphold a clean and safe scanning environment.RequirementsCompletion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting the position).A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.BLS certification from the American Heart Association (only).Preferred QualificationsInjection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation).Familiarity with Philips and Siemens equipment is preferred.Soft SkillsEffective written and verbal communication skills.A patient and compassionate disposition.Ability to work as a team player to maintain a cohesive working environment.Behavioral CharacteristicsWe are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and is willing to contribute to a supportive team atmosphere.Guaranteed Hours:This position is structured for a contract lasting 117 weeks.Benefits of Working with ARMStaffingAt ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
