The client is seeking a candidate with the following key qualifications and skills: Educational Background :
Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative STEM field such as Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, Engineering, or Analytics. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in a related field) is preferred but not mandatory.
Professional Experience :
Relevant professional work experience (non-academic, non-intern) in data analytics, business analytics, finance, pricing, or consumer credit risk. Experience in auto financing, consumer lending, or financial institutions is a plus.
Technical Skills :
Must-Have :
High proficiency in
SQL
and
Python
(or R), with coding skills tested during interviews. Strong experience in
data acquisition, manipulation, and cleaning . Proficiency in
Excel ,
PowerPoint , and
Tableau
for data visualization and presentations. Expertise in identifying trends and indicators through
quantitative and qualitative analysis . Knowledge of
statistics and predictive modeling techniques .
Nice-to-Have :
Experience with
AI/ML
is a plus.
Soft Skills :
Strong
analytical thinking
and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work
autonomously
with minimal supervision. Excellent
communication skills
for presenting insights and collaborating with stakeholders. Comfort presenting ideas to audiences of various sizes, both virtually and in-person.
Work Environment :
Hybrid work model (2-3 days per week in the office in Plano, TX, with potential to increase to Monday-Thursday). Ability to collaborate effectively in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform
root cause analysis
and propose
data-driven solutions . Develop tools like
Python calculators
for stakeholders. Generate actionable insights through
data storytelling
using presentations, visualizations, and clear communication. Assess the impact of actions on customers, employees, and the company. Coordinate with stakeholders to implement and measure recommended actions.
