Job Description
Minimum Requirements:
• 12 years of hands-on experience in Java and Java EE development, including EJB, JPA, and SOAP-based services.
• 12 years of experience with Java SE 1.8 and Java EE 8, including deployment on enterprise-grade application servers.
• 12 years of experience with object-relational mapping and integrating persistence layers with business logic.
• 10 years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including architects, business analysts, and security engineers.
• 8 years of experience using or understanding AI code analysis tools for static analysis and code pattern recognition.
• 8 years of experience with DevSecOps practices, including automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• 8 years of exposure to cloud-native transformation strategies (e.g., containerization, elastic scaling, loosely coupled interfaces).
• 8 years of experience working in Agile environments, including sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• 8 years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• 8 years of solid understanding of software design principles and patterns.
Preferred Experience: • 6 years of excellent communication and collaboration skills. • 6 years of experience in requirements elicitation and documentation.
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Java EE Developer to support the modernization of legacy enterprise applications. This role involves analyzing existing Java EE systems, extracting business logic, and contributing to the transformation of monolithic applications into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java EE technologies, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: • Analyze legacy Java EE components (EJB, JPA, SOAP services) to support architectural decision-making. • Participate in application rationalization and transformation planning. • Conduct technical walkthroughs and document current application behavior, dependencies, and integration points. • Collaborate with architects and business analysts to ensure modernization efforts retain core business logic and interoperability. • Assist in migrating legacy systems to cloud-native platforms with a focus on microservices and API-driven architectures. • Utilize AI code analysis tools to examine legacy Java EE applications. • Extract and document detailed business requirements and rules based on existing code. • Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to validate and refine identified requirements. • Identify and document technical debt, design patterns, and architectural details within legacy systems. • Perform cost/benefit analysis of alternative solutions and recommend improvements to existing systems.
