Role: MongoDB Admin with Postgres
Location: Plano TX
Qualifications:
• Strong and demonstrable experience as DBA related activities like Database Maintenance, Database Troubleshooting/Monitoring; Database Installation(Postgres and MongoDB)
• Should be able to Manage Postgresql , oracle , Mongo and MSSQL DB related tasks and deployment with replication knowledge to debug the issue.
• Provide guidance and support to Application Developers and Assist with schema design, code review, SQL query tuning
• Experience in both physical and logical backup's (Dump and restore) -
Pg_dump ,Pg_dumpall and Pg_restore .
• Develop and establish policies and procedures related to data security and integrity; monitor and limit database access as needed.
• Document the company's database environment.
• Experienced in production go live releases (Change Management process)
• Experienced in Incident Management (Update,Track,report and maintain incident status and Escalate/route incidents according to SOP).
• Responsible for proactive problem identification and resolution of failed processes or jobs and assisted customers in troubleshooting issues with their applications.
• Having involved in reducing the number of alerts by identifying the cause which reduces the cost , time and resources.
• Having ability to work under tight timelines and interact with different stakeholders.
• Experience in writing automation scripts, building application dashboards for proactive monitoring using PowerShell, Python scripting or similar technologies, ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
• Experience with database storage engines and master-slave replication principles and practices.
• Experience as Linux systems administrator (e.g. CentOS, RedHat) and command line system.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to get to the route of an issue quickly.
• Good communication and coordination skills and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Involving in the reviewing Designing Documents, Test Specifications, and Critical Code pieces. This primarily involves final validation of the solutions targeted for customer delivery and Customer issues .
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for day-to-day activities regarding the upkeep and availability of all database servers in the environment including lower environments(Windows and Linux)
• Serve as SME (subject matter expert) for Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Technical role, leads a team, manages, and configures database, ensuring availability, performance and security.
• Leading Database team and support the users across the group for all database related issues Determine priorities and timetables, assign resources/tasks, and provide performance feedback to the manager.
• Setting the team objectives and doing the performance management for his team in coordination with his manager
• Leading the team ensuring that quality and standards are adhered to.
• Participates in SQL code-reviews for the application teams to enforce SQL coding standards.
• Responsible for database backup and restore functions including scheduled tests of DR availability, including knowledge of MS SQL restoration and availability technologies such as Clustering, Replication and especially Always-On.
• Assist in the technical analysis and design for current and future projects.
• Participate and provide support in MS SQL migration, OS upgrade and DB upgrades activities.
