Hybrid (Remote/On-site as required) Verder USA is a leading supplier of high-quality pumps and pumping systems for a diverse range of industries including chemical, food & beverage, water treatment, pharmaceutical, and more. As part of the global Verder Group, we combine technical expertise, innovation, and customer-centric solutions to meet complex fluid handling challenges. The Application Engineer will play a key role in supporting sales and business development by providing advanced technical expertise, application guidance, and project management for Verders pumping solutions. This role collaborates closely with customers, sales teams, product management, and engineering to deliver optimal solutions tailored to customer requirements. Responsibilities
Serve as the technical expert for Verders product portfolio, providing in-depth application support to customers and internal teams. Analyze customer requirements and develop customized solutions, including pump selection, system design, and integration advice. Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotations, and documentation for complex projects. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and colleagues. Support sales teams throughout the sales cycle, including site visits, troubleshooting, and after-sales support. Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams, ensuring timely and successful project delivery. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements. Assist in the development and improvement of application tools, technical literature, and training materials. Provide feedback to product management and engineering for product enhancements and new product development. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered. Minimum 2 years of experience in application engineering in the pump or fluid handling industry. Strong knowledge of pump technologies (centrifugal, positive displacement, peristaltic, etc.) and related systems. Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and system specifications. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving skills and customer-oriented mindset. Proficient with CRM systems, CAD software, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as needed. What We Offer
