Senior Accountant - Statutory Reporting (40603) Our client, an established insurance company, is seeking a
Senior Accountant
to join their growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity to specialize in
statutory reporting
while gaining high visibility across the organization. Youll collaborate directly with senior leadership, contribute to critical regulatory filings, and play a key role in shaping the companys continuous growth. This is a HYBRID role with half days on Friday's year round. Free lunch is offered every office day, and there is an emphasis on work life balance. Join a team with a good culture that loves to collaborate and work together. Responsibilities Prepare quarterly and annual statutory filings for several legal entities. Gather, organize, and reconcile data from different parts of the company. Assist with statutory schedules, exhibits, and notes, ensuring accuracy. Support audited financial statements by compiling and reviewing data. Prepare variance analyses to explain key changes in financial statements. Assist with surveys, compliance filings, journal entries, and process improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2+ years of GAAP or statutory reporting experience. Strong understanding of financial statements, footnotes, and reporting flows. Advanced Excel skills and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of management.
