Unit Operations Coordinator (Casual) role at
Children's Minnesota . Provides exemplary customer service to families, staff, providers and visitors, in-person and by phone; answers questions, problem solves; handles first response to unit phone calls, arranges deliveries to patient rooms, directs visitors, and maintains a safe, welcoming environment. Serves as liaison to other departments and provides administrative support on the unit; acts as the unit's technology resource. The Unit Operations Coordinator is a pivotal frontline individual who provides exemplary customer service to families, staff, providers and visitors, both in-person and by phone. They answer questions warmly, promptly and correctly, problem solve as needed. They provide first response to phone calls that come into the units, arrange for deliveries to patient rooms, direct visitors to their destinations, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment at all times, modeling service excellence. The individual is the key liaison to other departments and provides other disciplines with the tools for their jobs. The Unit Operations Coordinator supports patient care on the unit(s) and provides overall administrative support for the unit. This individual is also the unit(s) technology resource. This role may be required to float to other hospital departments as needed based on need. Education/Work Experience
High school diploma preferred 1 year of experience in a patient care setting preferred Skills and Abilities
Outstanding professional and positive customer service skills Positive attitude Exceptional problem solving skills Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel or hospital technology systems Ability to coach others with hospital technology systems Competent with basic medical terminology Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with strong English language proficiency Self-directed, organized, and a problem solver Ability to multitask, direct and support information processes on patient care units, work independently and within a team Physical Demands

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles. When determining individual pay rates, factors include the role, candidate skills, education, training, credentials and experience, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement and other benefits. Night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
