ABOUT THE ROLE: The Senior Application Developer, Full Stack role will be responsible for the broader process of developing and deploying enhancements and/or new applications used in local, networked, cloud-based or internet-related computer programs. They will use their technical expertise in programming languages, tools, and delivery models, in conjunction with their methodology expertise to collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products and solutions. This role requires a foundational understanding of programming languages, tools, and delivery models, as well as the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders. The incumbent will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including project teams, business analysts, and end-users, to ensure the development process is running smoothly. Ultimately, the incumbent will play a vital role in ensuring the organization's software applications are effective, efficient, and provide a seamless experience for the end-users.

The position will be a part of the larger retail technology team, providing technology solutions for the Sherwin-Williams stores spanning multiple divisions/market segments as well as the companys various domestic Ecommerce environments. The position is specifically a part of the team responsible for the core pricing systems as they are modernized into a suite of Vue/Spring micro-services. The team works closely with several other teams responsible for all pricing adjacent systems and data. The team also works closely with representatives of the various Sherwin Williams pricing departments to deliver a system that meets all the needs of the business in its entirety.

WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO: Analyze system requirements and translate them into software programming specifications Develop, code, integrate, test, and debug software applications using current programming languages Create documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software Collaborate and communicate closely with various stakeholders such as users, developers, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of products and solutions Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and programming languages to ensure the team's skills and expertise are current This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, including conversion to H1-B visa. Education

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of experience in application development or application engineering

Skills and Experience

4+ years of experience in software development, specifically in application development engineering Experience in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or Ruby Familiarity with software development tools such as Git or Jenkins Preferred

Experience with back-end development technologies including Java Spring REST Services, ORM/Hibernate, and Junit. Experience with front end development technologies such as Vue/React, TypeScript, Vite/Vitest, and Node/NPM. Experience working in an agile development environment utilizing either Scrum or Kanban. Experience working with large scale pricing systems supporting a retail environment. Technical Skills
