Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE)

role candidate sought to join our team to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of materials and components sourced from our suppliers. This role is critical in driving supplier performance, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain. Responsibilities

Evaluate and qualify suppliers through audits, assessments, and ongoing performance monitoring. Develop and implement supplier quality requirements, standards, and specifications. Work closely with suppliers to resolve nonconformities, implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA), and drive root cause analysis. Partner with procurement, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure supplier materials meet design and production requirements. Maintain supplier quality metrics and report on performance trends. Support new product introduction by collaborating with suppliers to ensure readiness and compliance with requirements. Conduct supplier training on quality standards and expectations. Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain reliability and reduce defects. Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other applicable quality standards. Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical discipline. 5+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or related roles. Strong knowledge of quality management systems (AS9100, ISO 9001). Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, corrective action, and process audits. Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and special processes (welding, plating, coatings). Strong communication, negotiation, and supplier relationship management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems. Preferred Skills

Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing industries. Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification. Knowledge of PPAP, FAI (First Article Inspection), APQP, or similar supplier quality tools. Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven quality improvement. Why Join Us
