The part-time TRIO Coordinator is a member of the TRIO Student Success Program team which provides direct service to low-income, first-generation college students, and individuals with disabilities. The TRIO Program Coordinator will work collaboratively to provide assistance to students in career development including assistance with job search, preparing resume, cover letters and electronic profiles. The coordinator will also be planning and implementing all TRIO transfer trips, cultural events and workshops. This position will actively contribute to the growth, development, and activities of the TRIO Student Success department and as part of the larger college community in supporting student success, retention, and college completion initiatives. This is a grant position with a one-year appointment ending on June 30, 2026, with possibility of renewal. Duties And Responsibilities
Assist/guide students in career development skills including job search, preparing resumes, cover letters and establishing a career electronic profile Develop and coordinate workshops around career related topics (networking, elevator pitch and mock interviews) Conduct workshop on financial literacy and financial aid information and budgeting, paying for college etc. Organize and Plan TRIO Transfer Trips, Cultural Events and Workshops Work with the Director and Administrative Assistant to plan overnight cultural trips for TRIO Students. Maintain ongoing communication with students and the TRIO Student Success Program team Create sign-up sheets and permission slips for TRIO Transfer Trips, Cultural Events and Workshops Create Monthly newsletter and TRIO TV PowerPoint of all TRIO Events Attend training sessions and meetings including professional development opportunities Record student contacts in Student Access database Provide referrals for program participants to resources on campus and in the community Maintain confidentiality and discretion with sensitive student information, navigating interpersonal relationships with empathy, and focus on the holistic development of the student. Assist Advisors in recruitment events and classroom visits
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Preferred, at least 2 years of experience in career development, or working with college students Demonstrated ability to engage individuals of diverse learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds Excellent Organizational skills and ability to organize effectively. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships; ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with college students and colleagues, strong written and oral communication skills Ability to work with students in-person and through online platforms Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills. Bilingual skill a plus

While the college is fully committed to the success of this program, continued employment in this role is contingent upon ongoing grant funding. Should federal funding change in the future, the position may be impacted. Salary Range:
