Cyber Security Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Cyber Security Engineer to lead the integration of robust security practices into the design and development of complex information systems. This role is critical in ensuring that cybersecurity requirements are effectively captured, refined, and implemented into IT components and enterprise systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead or assist in guiding development teams in designing, upgrading, or modernizing information systems with strong security foundations. Conduct product research and support Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) to identify the most effective security technologies and approaches. Contribute to system concept development and align cybersecurity designs with legal, regulatory, and environmental conditions. Develop and document comprehensive security architectures, technical roadmaps, and investment strategies. Oversee and mentor a team of Cyber Security Engineers at the Senior, Mid, and Junior levels. Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent expert level experience as a Cyber Security Engineer. 18 years of working experience in government or industry within Cyber Security Engineering. DoD 8570 Level II (IASAE) certification compliance. Proven experience architecting and implementing cybersecurity in large-scale systems. Strong knowledge of system security principles, risk management frameworks, and security controls. Experience leading technical teams and managing cybersecurity initiatives across the system development lifecycle. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable security designs. Desired Qualifications: Expert working experience in government or industry leading enterprise-level cyber security efforts involving architecting, designing, development, and configuration of cloud and on premise-based systems and software. Experience engineering Cyber Security solutions using Cloud Based Technology such as: Service Orientated Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Experience engineering Cyber Security solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data. Experience engineering Cyber Security solutions using Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies. Essential Job Functions: Ability to work in a SCIF environment, potentially co-located with government customers. Ability to collaborate and communicate well with others Education Qualifications: Requires a Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program, or equivalent expert level experience as a Cyber Security Engineer. Years of Experience: 24+ years w/ HS degree 20+ years w/ Bachelor's Degree 18+ years w/ Master's Degree Position Type: Full-Time Shift: Day Export Control: For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
