Trillium Construction is seeking a Fleet Mechanic for a project in Portland, TN!
The Fleet Mechanic will be working in the field maintaining and repairing equipment such as loaders, dozers, haul trucks, drills, excavators, etc. Main job is to minimize down time.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance (PM):
o Performing scheduled service checks (oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, hydraulic checks).
o Inspecting engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics for wear and tear.
o Monitoring fluid levels, belts, hoses, and seals to avoid breakdowns.
o Recording and reporting PM activities for compliance and asset management.
Diagnostics & Repairs:
o Using diagnostic tools to identify issues in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
o Repairing or replacing defective components.
o Welding or fabricating parts if necessary.
Field Service Support:
o Responding to breakdowns on-site quickly to reduce downtime.
o Carrying out mobile repairs with service trucks stocked with tools and parts.
o Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
o Perform welding, fabrication, and field adjustments as necessary.
Safety & Compliance:
o Following OSHA/MSHA and company safety guidelines.
o Keeping maintenance logs updated.
o Ensuring equipment meets environmental and operational standards.
Pay rate is up to $35/hour. Schedule: 10 days on, 4 off. 60h / week.
