In this role, you’ll be joining a team of 8, and your focus will be supporting CDM under the leadership of Maki Mitsui-Cuff, CFO. The principal function of the Finance Director is to partner with and provide financial support to the management team in a variety of operational decisions. Further, the Finance Director engages in financial analysis in such areas as monthly close, management reporting, forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and reviewing operational performance. Qualifications: 5+ years of progressive industry experience in advertising client finance, including extensive knowledge of client operations and compensation models, especially project based, retainer, and time and material fee engagements Preferred BA in Finance or Accounting, and/or MBA but not required High accuracy and diligence, attention to detail Full understanding of accrual-based accounting, revenue recognition types and rules, GAAP rules Demonstrated ability to assume a leadership role in managing project, departmental and enterprise risks related to projects, systems and business analysis Strong verbal and written communication skills. Has a can-do approach and exudes an energy that is required for a dynamic work environment Has advanced time management skills to maintain deadlines within a fast-paced and innovative environment Excellent interpersonal skills, a good listener, proactive, can stand up and drive change Advanced Excel skills and ability to use Word and PowerPoint proficiently Responsibilities: Manage, coach, and mentor client finance team, consisting of client finance managers and financial analyst. Collaborates with FP&A team to accurately assess in a timely manner the monthly recorded revenue for accounting purposes Lead monthly revenue forecasting with Account services. Guide the team in accurate revenue forecasting, phasing, risk identification and variance analyses Ensure accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation for revenue recognition; draft and submit necessary journal entries for month end close. Analyze revenue variance to forecast Report and keep senior leadership team informed in revenue tracking, potential risks and opportunities Organize and attend monthly client finance meetings Review and provide input into the development of the financial section of client scopes of work in collaboration with project managers Review and understand the details of individual client contracts and how to accommodate such details within the agency’s established billing processes. Provide guidance to account and PM teams Ensure timely monthly billing; manage working capital including AR aging and WIP/Unbilled AR Manage client credit risk Analyze client profitability based on monthly revenue and direct cost (client contribution margin). Make appropriate recommendations to senior leadership team based on analysis The range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of an Omnicom Health Group company in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
