Director of Engineering
to oversee all property operations, maintenance programs, and capital projects. This role is ideal for a service-driven engineering leader who takes pride in maintaining the integrity, safety, and beauty of a world-class resort environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead all engineering and maintenance operations across guestrooms, public spaces, pools, spa, restaurants, and back-of-house areas Manage and develop an in-house engineering team while fostering a culture of precision, safety, and accountability Execute preventative maintenance programs and sustainability initiatives to support long-term asset value Coordinate with internal departments and third-party vendors to ensure seamless daily operations Oversee life safety systems, emergency protocols, and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations Support and manage capital improvement projects in collaboration with ownership and asset management teams Maintain accurate reporting, systems records, and documentation for inspections, permits, and maintenance schedules Qualifications: 5+ years of engineering leadership in a luxury hotel or resort setting Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and energy management systems Proven ability to manage teams and take an active role in day-to-day operations Familiarity with California codes, regulations, and environmental compliance Experience with capital planning, renovation projects, and vendor management Ability to lead with integrity, urgency, and attention to detail in a five-star service environment Seniority level
