Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $32.00/hr Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Hybrid schedule – 3 days onsite, 2 remote. The Benefits Specialist will provide support in the administration and coordination of employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, and leave programs. This role will assist with compliance, vendor management, open enrollment, and employee inquiries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable managing sensitive information while ensuring employees receive accurate and timely support. Key Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for benefits-related questions, issues, and escalations with third-party vendors. Support compliance with federal and state regulations, including ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and ADA. Assist with open enrollment activities, including vendor coordination and communication with employees. Review benefits documents, enrollment data, and invoices for accuracy. Collaborate with HR Operations to ensure leaves of absence and disability cases are processed appropriately. Support benefits-related projects and process improvements, including system updates and vendor transitions. Prepare and update communication materials and assist with employee education sessions. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered). 4+ years of benefits administration experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required). Experience working with HRIS systems (UKG experience a plus). Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.). Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Hybrid schedule with two remote days each week.
