As a
Health & Benefits Consulting Analyst , you will have the opportunity to enhance your industry knowledge, communication skills, project management skills, and consulting acumen. You will work on delivering solutions for startups to Fortune 500 companies across industries, collaborating with senior consultants in the design, financing, pricing, and administration of client health and welfare programs. Responsibilities
Assist the consulting team in gathering, organizing, entering, and analyzing data using Excel spreadsheets for client projects; contribute to analysis of results and manage portions of projects Gather utilization or rate data from vendors via an RFP; interpret data and summarize responses in Excel or PowerPoint for client presentations Develop cost projections and evaluate vendor renewal workups; use results in client meetings Demonstrate project management and consulting skills: manage quality and timeliness of deliverables; help develop budgets and billing reports; participate in client and vendor calls and meetings; assist with clear communications and resolve most claim issues, escalating complex issues as needed Gather design data from clients and current vendors to analyze impact of plan consolidations or marketing; organize plan design details and costs in Excel for further analysis; check data for reasonableness and follow up with vendors on missing or inaccurate data Learn the basics of products, services, and tools; gain understanding of vendor markets, basic underwriting and financial skills; participate in training courses or learn from colleagues Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 1–3 years of professional experience, preferably in health & benefits Ability to work at a fast pace, independently and in a team Capacity to manage competing priorities with strong time management Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office suite Desirable attributes
