Manager, Merchant Strategy & Operations - Menu About The Team: On the Merchant Strategy & Operations team, our mission is to have best-in-class restaurant selection for Consumers and build products and services for our Merchants to grow their businesses profitably on DoorDash. We work on problems ranging from acquiring and onboarding new merchants to building a positive experience and solving pain points for existing merchants, to growing their sales through new products and services. About The Role: Strategy & Operations (S&O) Managers at DoorDash drive impact and solve problems by digging into details, executing quickly in the face of ambiguity, and building strong cross-functional collaboration. As a Merchant S&O Manager, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution that shape the success of merchants on our platform and the direction of DoorDash’s core business. On this team as owner of Menu Content and Metadata, you’ll get to the lowest level of detail by speaking to Merchants, partnering with our Product and Consumer teams, and analyzing our data to develop hypotheses for new ways to achieve your goals. You’ll test these hypotheses in the market and refine your approach to develop best-in-world solutions. You’ll also make sure to capture the Merchant voice in everything we do at the nexus of Growth, Operations, Product, and Strategy. In this role, you will report to our Senior Manager of Merchant Strategy & Operations on the Menu team. Responsibilities

Solve challenging menu data problems at DoorDash and develop our strategy to build our next generation of products and capabilities. Drive photo and video coverage of merchant menus to improve conversion. Use data-driven decision-making to design and maintain taxonomies, classification systems, and metadata frameworks for food items. Collaborate with designers, product managers, and data scientists to ensure content and menu data support personalization efforts across the company. Develop standards and processes for consistent labeling, categorization, and tagging, and create scalable workflows with vendors. Operate at the lowest level of detail to understand impact of decisions and iterate based on data insights. Create step-change improvements for merchants through regular engagement and by identifying their needs. Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in consulting, strategy, operations, banking, technology, or related fields; high-growth or early-stage startup experience and team leadership are a plus. You enjoy building scalable systems, digging into problems, and collaborating cross-functionally to launch key features. You are analytical and use both quantitative and qualitative data; SQL experience is a strong plus. You have an ownership mentality and approach problems from first principles to inspire action. You lead from the front and can motivate across levels and functions. You communicate clearly and can distill complex topics for stakeholders at all levels, in writing and verbally. You can build a plan to hit goals and operate with focus and drive. Compensation & Benefits

Notice: The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado, is $136,000—$200,000 USD. Base salary is localized by work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants.
