Role Description
We are seeking a Board Treasurer for the foundation's board of directors, preferably located in the Greater Chicago Area. However, candidates outside the Greater Chicago area may be considered. The Board Treasurer will be responsible for overseeing financial management, including preparing and analyzing financial statements, planning the organization's financial strategy, managing budgeting processes, and maintaining accurate accounting records. Additionally, the Treasurer will collaborate with the board to ensure financial compliance and sustainability of the foundation. Responsibilities

Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements Strong skills in financial planning and budgeting Expertise in finance and accounting principles Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work collaboratively with the board and executive team Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field Note : All Board of Directors roles are voluntary and unpaid. Board terms are two year renewable terms.
