Washington State Department of Social and Health Services DSHS Fircrest Human Resource Consultant 3 DSHS Office of the Secretary (OOS), Human Resources Division is looking for a Human Resource Consultant 3 located at Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center (RHC) to join our team in Shoreline, WA. We are looking for a team member who serves as a skilled, experienced, senior level human resource consultant managing one or more assigned areas with direct responsibility to independently consult and advise management on a wide variety of sensitive, complex and critical human resource issues.
We offer a hybrid telework schedule for these jobs with two required days on-site. Some Of What Youll Do Provides guidance and consultation to managers and supervisors on complex and difficult HR issues Keeps the HR Manager informed on key issues and makes recommendations on sensitive and critical issues Administers customer focused HR programs for the management and staff at Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center (RHC) Provides professional level consultation and technical guidance to managers and supervisors of Fircrest Provides managers and supervisors consultation of the components of “Just Cause” Conducts research, analyzes data, provides interpretation and presents recommendations and solutions to management on various complex personnel issues Other duties as assigned Who Should Apply
Those with a bachelors degree with a focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field AND two years of professional human resource work experience. OR Additional professional level HR experience may substitute, year for year, for required education. Ability to understand each customers needs to provide effective HR solutions. Advancement of equity, diversity, access, and inclusion within every facet of work with employees, clients, providers, and community partners. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification and/or Human Resource Certification Institute certification Consult with or coach business leaders to address issues appropriately to reach the best outcome Prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines with constant interruptions Working knowledge of HR-related WACs, RCWs, Federal Laws, policies and procedures, and CBAs How to Apply
