We are seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Complex Claims Consultant to oversee high-exposure claims related to Architects & Engineers and Lawyers Professional Liability. This dynamic role involves using your deep knowledge to assess coverage, determine liability and damages, manage litigation, adjust reserves, and negotiate settlements in both design and legal sectors. CNA emphasizes continuous improvement, allowing claims professionals to leverage their expertise within a collaborative team environment that prioritizes accurate reserving and effective claims resolution. Your role will involve exceptional customer service, proactive communication, and engagement with stakeholders to surpass their expectations. This position allows for a flexible, hybrid work schedule and can be performed from any location near a CNA office. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload that includes primary, excess, and quota share policies, while adhering to corporate policies and guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of highly complex specialty claims requiring advanced technical knowledge. Deliver outstanding customer service by maintaining professional interactions and providing timely updates. Evaluate coverage and set timely reserves, consulting with coverage counsel as needed. Conduct targeted investigations to ascertain compensability, liability, and damages. Negotiate settlements and authorize payments within your limits of authority. Monitor claim budgets and ensure efficient service through timely resolution. Assess potential subrogation, salvage, or fraud and coordinate with internal resources. Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Keep senior leadership informed of significant risks and prepare concise updates. Foster the development of junior staff through mentoring and training. Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of insurance products, policy language, and claims practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly. Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities for resolving business issues. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to inspire inclusivity and collaboration within teams. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of six years in claims handling is preferred. Must obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License as required. Experience in negotiation is required; professional designations such as CPCU are preferred. The expected salary range for this position is $113,000 to $160,000, dependent on experience and location.
