The Director of Business Development is a strategic rainmaker. Equal parts connector, deal-closer, and client whisperer. This leader will own growth from the front lines, leveraging deep industry relationships, insight-driven storytelling, and a partnership-first approach to drive revenue and expand our impact.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and who gets energized by helping world-class brands mitigate their risks. You'll represent GRS as both a solutions partner and a thought leader, while consistently identifying, developing, and closing high-value Security & Risk Services contracts.
Ideal Candidates Have
Five to seven years of demonstrated success with B2B enterprise selling
Experience working in Corporate Security and/or Risk Management
Prior experience in law enforcement, military or a federal agency
A robust network of security and risk management contacts
Identify, engage, and cultivate new business opportunities across diverse markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, customers, and strategic partners.
Demonstrated experience leading the full business development cycle—from prospecting and proposals to contract negotiations and onboarding.
Previous territory planning and prospecting expertise
Proficiency in sales CRM tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to evaluate market trends, customer feedback, and competitive positioning to recommend strategic actions.
Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote company capabilities and expand market presence.
Generate detailed forecasts, performance metrics, and reports to track business development efforts and ROI.
Ability to travel approximately 25% to 50% of the time to meet clients
