Healthy Kids Programs . We are seeking a dynamic Director to lead our After School Program at Haldane Elementary School in Cold Spring, NY. As the Director, you will oversee all aspects of the Healthy Kids Program site operations, ensuring high-quality care and programming. Job status:

Part-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule:

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Pay:

$17.00 per hour Responsibilities

Guiding Compliance: Ensure that both staff and program adhere to OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school. Bringing the Fun: Direct engaging hands-on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more, including homework completion. Managing Like a Boss: Maintain attendance and registration records, and ensure proper staffing levels to keep the program running smoothly. Keeping Everyone in the Loop: Maintain open lines of communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with your direct report to keep them updated on daily occurrences and address issues promptly, fostering a positive team environment. Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Education and Experience:

To be qualified as a director, a person must possess one of the following: Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. A School-Age Child Care Credential or another office-recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. An Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity in a child care program or related field. Other qualifications: You are medically fit to perform job duties and free of communicable diseases including TB. You are warm, friendly, upbeat, professional, reliable, and punctual with strong people skills. You can bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed to support energetic children. Perks (Part-time)
