In the role of

Legal Billing Data Entry Clerk

, you will play a key part in the firm's billing operations by ensuring accurate and timely entry of billing-related data. Your daily responsibilities include:

Accurately entering time entries, expense entries, client and matter details, invoice data, and trust account information into the firm's billing software or system.

Verifying the accuracy of entries against supporting documents such as time sheets, expense receipts, and client billing guidelines.

Mapping entries to correct billing codes, rates, client matter numbers, and applicable billing categories.

Preparing draft invoices or reports for review by billing managers or attorneys.

Tracking and resolving discrepancies in billing entries—such as errors in rates, codes, or client information—and escalating issues as needed.

Supporting billing cycles by generating preliminary summaries, aging reports, or invoice batches.

Maintaining precise and organized billing records for reporting, audit, and compliance purposes.

Collaborating with timekeepers, attorneys, and accounting staff to clarify entries, billing preferences, or client-specific instructions.

Handling sensitive client and firm financial data with discretion and confidentiality.
