Join our team as a Senior Manager of Semantic Technology and Data Structure, where you will play a crucial role in shaping Capital One's Data Strategy by developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise ontologies. In this position, you will collaborate across various Capital One Lines of Business and Functions to create domain ontologies that align with enterprise initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include: Leading efforts in Data Standardization and Semantics discovery to transform insights into actionable strategies. Owning and prioritizing a long-term (12-18 months) roadmap for Ontology and Data Modeling that drives business outcomes. Defining and tracking KPIs for Ontology and Data Modeling initiatives, adapting the course based on data insights. Understanding the integration of ontology and data models in the wider ecosystem and anticipating impacts from organizational changes. Collaborating closely with technology leadership to understand technical trade-offs affecting Ontology and Data Modeling. Advocating for the value of ontologies, semantics, and standardization initiatives throughout Capital One. Attracting and mentoring top talent in ontology and data modeling, ensuring high standards of governance. Contributing to data integration efforts to align data with Capital One's upper and domain ontologies. Staying informed about industry trends regarding ontology use, knowledge organization, and machine learning. Championing W3C standards regarding ontologies, focusing on RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS, and SHACL. To succeed in this role, you need to be: Intellectually Curious:

Able to problem-solve independently with strong project management skills. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information science, computer science, engineering, library science, ontology, semantics, or computational linguistics. At least 6 years of experience in metadata-related fields. Experience with W3C standards (JSON, XML, RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS). Experience with ontology and linked data tools. Experience with SQL or SPARQL. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in relevant fields. Experience translating business strategy into semantic solutions. Familiarity with unstructured data and graph databases. Proficient in Python or R. Familiar with Agile methodologies and Amazon Web Services. This role is located at Capital One's office and is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including bonuses.
