About the Role As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes patients and families to our center. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and positive experience, from registration through discharge. You'll handle patient check-ins, insurance verification, payments, and administrative support with a calm and professional approach.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanor
Check patients in and out of appointments and procedures
Verify insurance benefits and collect copays or balances as needed
Accurately enter patient information into the electronic system
Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
Collaborate with clinical and business office staff to support smooth daily operations

Required Skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable using computer systems and scheduling software
Professional, empathetic, and courteous demeanor
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 1 year of experience in a medical office, registration, or front desk role preferred
Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations is a plus
Familiarity with EMR systems is helpful (e.g., NextGen, Cerner, Epic, etc.)
