https://www.hdrinc.com/our-story HDR seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join our North Carolina team in Raleigh or Charlotte. Responsibilities include the structural design of facilities across various markets such as Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, Federal, Healthcare, and Education. Prior experience in all markets is not required. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams throughout project phases, developing construction drawings, specifications, engineering calculations, and reviewing shop drawings during construction. Experience in structural design and detailing of building projects is essential, along with a proactive, collaborative attitude and leadership skills. Experience with environmental engineering structures, including reinforced concrete tanks per ACI 350, is preferred. Preferred Qualifications: MS or MSCE in Structural Engineering Experience leading structural design teams Proficiency with software like STAAD or other 3D analysis tools Environmental engineering project experience (water/wastewater) Experience with condition assessment and concrete repair Local candidates preferred Required Qualifications: Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering At least 10 years of relevant structural engineering experience PE license Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar Experience with design calculations and layouts in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood Understanding of gravity and lateral analysis Previous experience in architectural/engineering consulting Active participation in our employee-owned culture Our Values and Commitment: HDR values diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and community impact.
