Director, Technical Accounting and SEC Reporting
who will serve as the Technical Accounting Subject Matter Expert for the Accounting Department. This role is responsible for the company's SEC external filings, providing guidance on internal financial reporting, managing corporate accounting policies, coordinating the external audit process, and supporting the audit committee. Additionally, the position involves managing accounting related to projects such as business combinations, complex transactions, and new accounting pronouncements. Job Duties
Lead the planning, organization, and preparation of external SEC reports. Assist in preparing press releases and board presentations. Serve as the finance leadership stakeholder for M&A integration activities. Manage internal financial reporting duties, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Assist with company-wide consolidation processes, including foreign subsidiaries and SAP operations. Conduct technical accounting research to support complex transactions and new pronouncements. Interpret financial policies, legislation, and regulations. Develop and formulate company-wide Accounting Policies and Procedures to ensure GAAP compliance. Serve as a liaison on initiatives like asset acquisitions and business combinations, ensuring proper accounting. Support the general ledger team with accounting needs, documentation, and integration. Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses for forecasts, financial plans, and other areas. Assist external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits. Maintain reporting work papers in conjunction with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Manage and mentor team members in financial reporting and GAAP. Experience
8-10 years of progressive technical accounting and financial reporting experience. At least 5 years of management experience. SEC reporting experience is required. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with SAP. Education Level
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required. Master's Degree preferred. Required Skills
Advanced knowledge of Technical Accounting, GAAP, and regulatory requirements. Leadership skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office. Broad understanding of accounting practices and efficiency opportunities. CPA certification is required. Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Supervise up to two professionals and contractors, acting as a liaison with external auditors. Work Conditions
